Die Plattenfirma schrieb über die beiden:
"Hollands Esther und Abi Ofarim" nannte man die beiden
noch vor ein paar Jahren - doch das hat Saskia und Serge mehr belastet als
gefördert.
"Es kann für einen Interpreten tödlich sein,
sich an den Stil eines anderen anzuhängen oder ständig damit verwechselt zu
werden", erzählte Serge.
Das Duo ist daher sehr froh, dass
es nach Fernseh- und Festival-Erfolgen in Holland die Chance bekam, einen
eigenen Stil zu finden.
1969 hatten Saskia und Serge dann
auch ihren ersten Hit in Holland ("'t Spinnewiel"),
zwei Jahre später vertraten sie ihre Heimat beim "Grand Prix",
wodurch man auch im Ausland auf die beiden aufmerksam wurde.
In den folgenden Jahren unternahmen sie erfolgreiche Tourneen durch Spanien,
Kanada und Südafrika.
In Holland wurden immerhin sieben
LPs des Duos veröffentlicht.
Mit ihrem neuen Titel (Im
Original: "Baby, I'll give you everything")
stehen sie seit Wochen hoch in den niederländischen Charts.
